Cardinals Continue Spring Schedule as Roster Evaluation Moves Forward

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — March 24, 1926

The Cardinals continued their spring training schedule today at League Park, working through another full day of drills and exhibition play as roster evaluations continue.

Regular players maintained their positions, with the infield and outfield units handling their assignments without issue. The club continues to rely on its established lineup while providing opportunities for reserve players to gain additional work.

Outfielders Ray Blades, Taylor Douthit, and Chick Hafey remained in regular rotation, while Walter Mueller, Heinie Mueller, and Jack Smith continued to receive chances as the club evaluates depth.

Pitchers moved through scheduled appearances, with multiple arms continuing to be assessed as the Cardinals prepare to finalize their staff.

No roster decisions were announced.

The club completed its work as scheduled.
